Good, and well if you're bored and need something to do:

go redo it while keeping their sizes compared to each other consistent, all save for Calgar have the same base size so should be pretty easy

Nah, I thought about it but decided against it. They all are about the same size anyway so there's no point to it.

Looking at Calgar, Feirros and now Tor Garadon, who're all in Gravis, it strikes me that none of these models really have the hood of aggressors.

I'd almost like to bet that this, which was a common criticism of the early Gravis design, is something they've adjusted accordingly for future designs...

Alright you got lucky and I had way too much freetime at work. ;)

All of these guys are more adorned than any plastic kit GW has ever released and still don’t even come close to the complexity and detailing of the art work.

Finer and better execution but with the exception of Shrike, they're less burdened by random dangly crap than the Death Company, the captain with grav-gun, the Space Wolf plastics, the Sternguard (kind of), and their sculpted armorial detail is finer and less scattershot than the Centurions and plastic chaplain. They're also considerably more restrained than finecast minis such as termi Marneus Calgar, many of the the old Masters of the Chapter, Belial, the SW characters.

At least part of this is advances in sculpting which mean detail doesn't have to be as thick or chunky, which in turn puts them closer to the artwork, even if they'll obviously never fully get there. Stuff which works well in the artwork can now, to a degree, be emulated without looking like a mess of gubbins which the marine is liable to trip over.

Also, does anyone who read the Salamanders novel know about Adrax Agatone's character or background, if he has any? Is he unusually aggressive or ambitious or stoic or...?

Well he's on a 50mm base, not on a 100mm base after all. :P

But yeah the scale is of course not 100% correct. 95% correct is all I can do without taking the pictures myself. :D

Garadon for me and not just as an IF fan. The gravis re-work looks like a plausible alternative to terminator armour. Either power fist and stormbolter with shoulder weapon or an assault variant.

Otherwise I love the iron hand but that's because he is what a tech marine should be. I think the ultramarines are the worst because they look almost the same as their preceeding models to me. I also feel that gw could have stood to have one ultramarine and then an um successor chapter represented. I don't see the point in calgar now guilliman is back.

I rate all of the Gravis characters pretty high. I actually do not like the Salamander very much at all, but the worst, I hate to admit is Shrike. It’s mostly the busy jump pack. The head doesn’t help. Shrike needs to see Tor’s barber.

Not a fan of Shrikes pose. Love the model just wish he was crouching like Spiderman does.

Sallie is my favorites pose. Love the Hammer and hand flamer.

The IF model looks cartoony with that big of a fist ... but I like it.

Marneus is nice enough but his pose is worse than Shrikes.

The others are pretty generic looking honestly. Khan look like a rip off of an Inquisitor model I use to have. Just substituted the hammer for a sword

For me Agatone and Khan are the favourites for sure.

They seem to have more motion to them, and their poses are cleaner. They give good cues about where to look on the model. The other ones sort of have their arms and various accessories pointing any old way.

And thanks for making the pictures.
