Duplicate datasheets

Hi All,

 

I'm trying to work out what to build next while it's still warm out. I have some Elysians and Catachans. From the organised play rules the heavy weapon datasheets count as the same data sheet for both Elysians and Catachans, but it doesn't seem to apply for other units like special weapon squads or command squads. Has there been a clarification on this? Or is it a case of the letter not quite keeping up with the spirit? The force will only have light vehicles so want to take as many special weapons as possible!

I think it's safe to assume, based on all the FAQs in that part, that it applies to every datasheet that they share. I doubt you will be able to convince any tournament organizer that the rule applies only to Heavy Weapons Teams and no other datasheet.

Yes, that's what I figured, particularly in light of the Genestealer Cult clarification. I don't play tournaments, but I imagine for matched play most people will stick to similar rules.

The rule of 3 is a organized event recommendation, not necessarily a matched play rule. Most matched play people use the rule anyway (at least in my experience), but if you're in a more casual matched play setting, you could always run it by your opponent and see how they feel.
