Konrad and movement

Konrad in his unit type counts as "jump infantry" like Sanguinius and Corax are and both have their wings/Korvidine pinions, however in both Sanguinius and Corax both say their equipment is equivalent to "Jump packs"

Konrad doesn't, and for a "Jump infantry" model to move 12" they have to use their Jump pack, does this mean Konrad doesn't benefit from the movement or the 3d6 falling back, he will only get the deep strike rule?

He's unit type Jump Infantry (Character), and that's all that matters, see page 66 BRB.

So why in the rulebook does it say models have to use their jump pack or equivalent to move 12." Jump infantry doesn't just grant you 12" move, the equipment jump pack does.

Jump infantry doesn't just grant you 12" move, the equipment jump pack does.

Okay, page 66 BRB, first sentence after the 'Jump Units' title:

'Jump units are equipped with Jump Packs, ... '

So, I'm pretty pretty sure it applies to our friend the Vampire Count Konrad ... eh ... Konrad Curze that is. Or Ursarax Cohorts for that matter, or ...

Yeah I saw that, but then why would things like Assault marines, Sanguinius, Corax. Have jump pack in their wargear or equivalent, But things like Dark Fury sqauds, Konrad, don't. What would be the point in listing the wargear if they already have them according to their unit type? more just baffling then anything else.
