MagistusAlexander
I have been putting together a Heresy era themed TS army and recently got a Xiphon Interceptor, mostly because I just think it looks cool. I dont see them ever get used however - has anyone here tried them in a 40k list? What are people's thoughts? I don't play tournaments, but I also don't like to lose all the time :P Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/358757-xiphon-interceptors/ Share on other sites
NovemberIX
I play a loyalist DIY but I imagine the xiphon club isn't too big, I've used it a few times, and from my memory it's fast and brutal, it's good as an attacker, but it's best as a air superiority fighter. It's tough, but it will attract a ton of fire, so in most of my lists I either ran a pair, or brought a lot of other threat heavy targets. I'll use my xiphons as HVT hunters, their priority is things like Fire Raptors, Storm Eagles, and Storm Ravens, then ground armor, and then the occasional character as opportunity allows. BoomWolf
I use a xiphon every now and then. Its pretty fun, and catching people of guard with surprise lascannon assassinations (if you don't wrap right, I can and WILL place my plane right next to your important HQ) However, I would not call it top tier. he's mostly good at hanging back throwing shots, especially on enemy fliers who are rare to feature an invul Unfortunately, they are not great against knights, or the rest of the usual meta.
