Daedelosus and X-101

So we all know by now that Daedelosus from Blackstone Fortress has 40k rules and that he's pretty darn awesome for what he does. And X-101... well, he's there. Lookin' cool with his big 'ol Grav Gun.

I recently acquired the tech-priest model from a friend (no servitor boi though). Going to build him and start painting him tonight. I'm curious to hear how everyone has been using this new model. What your strategies with him have been. Or am I just overthinking things and is he basically just a castle buffer saying "shoot better at this guy" and that's it?

And I'm curious if anyone's been using X-101 at all too. And if so, how?

Daedelosus? I put him behind the transport and it keeps him safe but the transport and contents can usually benefit. The shorter range Skorpius often sits (in pairs) around him. Anything shorter range. I stopped using Kataphrons but I think they're a natural choice as well.

There's already a topic about those guys.

And yes - Daedalosus is basically "just" good for pointing at a target, improving BS and safe overcharging, significantly improving the output of those around him for a marginal cost while counting towards the HQ tax. His MW/repair rule is nice as a backup, but not groundbreaking.

X-101 is...well, just there. Not a character, T4 2W 4+ is not really resilient, and not good at pretty much anything. Not even the right keyword to recycle him for Kataphron repairs. The only use that guy could have would be a filler for a brigade detachment, and maybe soaking up overwatch for others or intentionally standing in the way (block charges, prevent Fall Back,...).
