So... outflank and Land Raider Crusaders...

If I'm reading the rules right, and I usually do, the available deployment zone for Outmaneuver is 6". A Crusader at its thinnest point is 6.5". This would mean that part of the model would be off the board, by default... thus, no way of outflanking a crusader?

I will direct attention to Update 1.5, BRB Errata; "Add the following sentence to the end of the first paragraph: ‘No part of a model or its base can be set up or moved over the edge of the battlefield.’"

You can outflank it so that the side of the vehicle is parallell with the board edge of the edge you outflank from, since the land raider is 3.9" (+ ca 1.5-2.0" for the sponsons) you will fit within the restriction. After outflanking completed and you move the vehicle, you can pivot and move as normal without breaking the outflanking rule (outflanking occurs when the vehicle is placed on the board). Problem solved.

Side guns, though? The "Part of the model" would include guns, as well, would it not?

Yes, you are right, hence I wrote:

which is less than 6" and therefore does not violate the restriction. With "sponsons" I mean the sides sponsons including the guns on the side sponsons.
