Arentius
Heya Guys, I thought I'd try something slightly different for this guy and convert him using a spare Hellblaster body I had lying about as I wanted my Wolf lord to be a bit more intimidating as a T5 model which swings 7 attacks on the charge (wulfen stone, saga of wolfkin) He needs a bit of neatening up and highlighting but I'm rather happy with how he came out overall. May fair winds carry you all to battle! Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/359011-smash-lord-on-thunderwolf-conversion/ Share on other sites
Bjorn Firewalker
Good job on the models. Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/359011-smash-lord-on-thunderwolf-conversion/#findComment-5403128 Share on other sites
QuarterPounder
Nice work! The idea of an unmounted Captain with an ally looks and works really well. Watcher
Thunder Hammer is slightly off kilter, but otherwise great job! Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/359011-smash-lord-on-thunderwolf-conversion/#findComment-5403327 Share on other sites
sbarnby71
Thunder Hammer is slightly off kilter, but otherwise great job! Nice stance on the SM and the whole setup has a nice flow, but I do agree on the Thunder Hammer - when I have to do something like that I get a pin-vice and drill through the hand and run a paper clip through the hole then drill a hole in each piece of the hammer handle so it lines up a little better. But nice work on the piece brother. Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/359011-smash-lord-on-thunderwolf-conversion/#findComment-5403489 Share on other sites
NatBrannigan
I did exactly this for all my Thunderwolves, so they didn't look tiny next to my Primaris guys, except for having any riders dismounted. That's a great idea, looks like he's taking a pause from smashing to direct the battle. Arentius
Yeah the hammer annoyed me, I've taken off the bottom part and will be reattaching it better so it doesn't look like its made out of Rattan. Appreciate the kind words all, I only have the GW hand drill so even the thinnest bit would be the same size as the hammer haft. It was a nice way to use up a few leftover Wulfen bits I had though :D Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/359011-smash-lord-on-thunderwolf-conversion/#findComment-5403880 Share on other sites
sbarnby71
You should be able to get a set of micro drill bits on eBay for a few quid and they should fit the drill bit, take care with the thinnest as they bend really easily.
