The Wolfguard
Hi there, I recently read the leman russ primarch book and found it to be a bit lacking, just wondering what your guys favourite books are for a bit of space wolf lore and why? Thanks in advance! :) Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/359118-reading-recommendations/ Share on other sites
Guest Triszin
Wolfsbane It's the best Russ book, far better than the great wolf. Ashes of prospero is in the top 10 for implications. The Ragnar series Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/359118-reading-recommendations/#findComment-5405617 Share on other sites
dice4thedicegod
I really liked the Lukas the Trickster book. A lot of that is the drukhari making excellent mustache twirling villains. But Lukas is good too. Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/359118-reading-recommendations/#findComment-5405624 Share on other sites

Wolf Guard Dan
They’re all worth it. Scour eBay if you have to but read them all. Also emperors gift is actually a space wolves novel told from the perspective of a grey knight. mactire
The Chris Wraight series, Blood of Aesheim?? and StormCaller are pretty good for a 40k feel for the Rout. Wolf Lord Duregar
Many years since I read them but I liked the Ragnar books for what it is.. Not read any of the Horus heresy books though so maybe they are far better..? PeteySödes
Wolf at the door is a shorter novella that totally rules. Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/359118-reading-recommendations/#findComment-5406626 Share on other sites
The Saint Ragnar
Burning of Prospero (I think the tile of Prospero Burns), a very well written book looking at the Space Wolves during the heresy from the eyes of a human skald. Boytoy
Howl of the hearth world is an excellent short written by ADB that really delves into the Legion character right before Prospero Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/359118-reading-recommendations/#findComment-5408284 Share on other sites
Fajita Fan
Burning of Prospero (I think the tile of Prospero Burns), a very well written book looking at the Space Wolves during the heresy from the eyes of a human skald. You know that's a reference to Eaters of the Dead by Michael Crichton? The movie is called "The 13th Warrior" and it's fantastic. The old William King books about Ragnar were a fun read, Thousand Sons and Prospero Burns were much better written and you get to see the Wolves for what they are. Kolgrim DeathHowl
I really enjoyed the Ragnar book, there's a long series of Space Wolves books. Back when I read it, it was the first one which I really liked also. Dantay VI
That's the one. I lost the Valhalla's and base but still have the 2 Space Wolves. We kill as much as we can for as long as we can. Only when we can do no more do we leave..... Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/359118-reading-recommendations/#findComment-5418770 Share on other sites
Wolf Lord Duregar
Well, those are the best models of it. ;) The axe dude, can´t remember his name, is pretty darn cool! The other one, great Wolf Guard with bolter leading a pack of Grey Hunters or a Grey Hunter Pack Leader?
