Black Knight
I am putting together my Acastus Knights and for the first ones I wanted to go with what the kit has, problem is I do not know which of the missiles go with the normal Porphyrion. Taking a look at the FW pics I get the general feeling the multiple rows off missiles belong to the Asterius? Then I look at the pics of the Porphyrion and they too have the muti-layer missles. Anyone have any idea? Source Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/359260-modeling-of-acastus-knight-missiles/ Share on other sites
noigrim
Since they have the same number of shots it might as well only change the playload Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/359260-modeling-of-acastus-knight-missiles/#findComment-5409470 Share on other sites
Marshal Wolfhart
Funnily enough on the pics on the GW store, two Acastus Porphyrion in the same pic have different missile loads. One has the single row of 5 larger ones, the other has diamond shaped array of several smaller missiles. Guess take what you like more? ^^ Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/359260-modeling-of-acastus-knight-missiles/#findComment-5409484 Share on other sites
Mandragola
My understanding is that the smaller missiles are the Ironstorm and the big ones are Helios (or something) - an AA option that is currently unavailable in AT. Note that a Porphyron isn't allowed the mortars. Neither option represents that. As such it kind of doesn't matter which you use because your Porphyron definitely has an ironstorm pod, not a mortar, so there shouldn't be any confusion on the board. Your opponent would need pretty awesome eyesight to even tell the difference. Fajita Fan
You can just tell your opponent which very obvious build you're going with for your Acastus knights, the differences are so tiny they can't see them across the table anyway. Don't worry about it. Anyone who goes over to your side of the table and peers down at tiny .5mm missile tubes and pronounces them as not WYSIWYG isn't someone worth playing.
