Whitelion
Hi guys, I was asking if the Warlord Psy-Titan could be used in the game, and if so what were the datasheets that differentiate it from the Warlord Mars Pattern. As far as I could tell, physically it differs only in the Black Hole Psy Cannon in the left arm. Beren
No it can't. Not yet anyway. Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/359374-ordo-sinister-warlord-psy-titan/#findComment-5412382 Share on other sites
noigrim
You can use the vortex rule to homebrew some rules Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/359374-ordo-sinister-warlord-psy-titan/#findComment-5412410 Share on other sites
Fajita Fan
I'm building one with a converted gun using a volcano cannon and Eldar wraithlord weapon bits. We will probably see 40k rules for a psytitan before we see AT scale rules but I'm just going to count it as a volcano till then. noigrim
What about rules for an imperator? Would you use warlord rules with 2x carapace weapons? Whitelion
in fact it makes sense to use the rules of vortex torpedoes, even if on lexicanim, wikia and in the novel they speak of an area of destruction much greater than that of a vortex missile. Perhaps I could at least double the area by targeting more units. For the emperor, I don't know, I never read datasheets about it, it would be a gamble to assume the strength of the armor or the power of the weapons. In the past how was it differentiated from a warlord? Fajita Fan
Well that’s an even bigger, presumably slower, more heavily armored titan with more powerful guns. Whitelion
No, but I know him, I just don't know how much power gap to attribute to the weapons of the Imperator against the weapons of the Warlord. Beren
I think some kind of bombardment strategem was used to show an Emperor's firepower in one of the Molech scenarious. Also, for the psy-titan, you'd also have to take into account its psychic attributes in addition to the main gun. noigrim
The arm weapons should be Hellstorm: buffed up gatling, increase strength Plasma anihiliator: idem Vengeance canon: two shot volcano Missile arm: 6x vortex missiles In the carapace you could put two or three warlord weapon sets of the same type Void shields depends on the rules in some it has 8 in others 12 More hit points and armour? Whitelion
For the emperor titan I think we could use the stadard values taken from Apocalypse (http://darogscompany.blogspot.com/2013/04/new-rules-for-emperor-battle-titan-by-gw.html) The Hellstorm cannon is credited for strength 9 per shot, all other weapons are D. Instead for the Psy Black Hole cannon of the Warlord Psy-Titan I think it would be right to give it the power of a vortex missile but with area damage and not single drive, because in the novel it shows that it hits on a vast area with destructive power. P.S: Forgive my ignorance, I have some little difficulty understanding the effect of the force D and G weapons of the latest version of the game. Could you give me some advice about it? I thank you in advance Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/359374-ordo-sinister-warlord-psy-titan/#findComment-5413896 Share on other sites
Fajita Fan
I think multiple shots is a better way of representing the raygun fire pattern described in the book. (I also selfishly don't like blast weapons in AT because you can't target them). I really should invest time in getting my psy-titan going. There's a 3d printable lion shoulder on Thingiverse if you guys have resin printers but I was actually going to spray the flat shoulder bit silver and let a coworker who can actually draw ink in the lion's head in 2d with a Micron pen. I also thought Dark Angel green and Warp Lighting contrast paints would look cool swirled around the armor plates.
