WickedJester1013
I enjoy snow bases and all but I think it’s the “go to” thematic option for space wolves. What are you guys doing or have seen done or even would like to see done as a base idea? Rune Priest Jbickb
Lava is always a fun, thematic, season of fire alternative. Fenris is ice most of the time but not always after all Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/359453-basing-ideas-for-the-wolf-brothers/#findComment-5414576 Share on other sites
ranulf the revenant
...I'm going for a Battlefield in fall so I'm doing earth, rubble (all kind of metal bits I can find, for example screws, lighter parts) some leaves... the occasional bolter shell and/or body part Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/359453-basing-ideas-for-the-wolf-brothers/#findComment-5414677 Share on other sites
WickedJester1013
I did think about lava bases. I think bases are the most important part of the model really. Bryan Blaire
I'm going to be doing a dusty tan wasteland to match the battlefields I'm making for Kill Team and 40K, and the other Kill Teams I've got. Kolgrim DeathHowl
I love bases, I just got into building some with cork board. Still lots to learn, lava bases sounds really cool. My SW I have I just did green bases cause I just got into the hobby so I didn't really know how a good base really adds to the model. I'm going down to my aunts house in FL after Thanksgiving, me and my sister want to get a few things. I mainly just want all my 40k stuff lol. I'll probably redo the bases half the army is painted the other half is primed. Have a bunch of models from the late 90's early 2000's, can't wait to get them lol. mercbat
I’ve gone to desert/antique city, some sort of Prosperine, but nothing distinctively egyptian. offtopic @DantayVI may I steal your “black on grey” pack markings? :) Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/359453-basing-ideas-for-the-wolf-brothers/#findComment-5418682 Share on other sites

Yes the warmer colours of the desert style bases really help make the models stand out, compared to blue or grey on wite bases. @ Mercbat. For sure, go for it!! Black and grey is traditionally for scouts, but I prefer to use it for my elite units. Guest Triszin
I tend to do a mix of grass mud stone snow and rubble. So it can go with most boards Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/359453-basing-ideas-for-the-wolf-brothers/#findComment-5420618 Share on other sites
