Archon_77
Had an odd interaction today with my opponent during our game, just how many attacks does Shrike get on the charge? I argued 6 (base primaris capt.) + 1 (shock assault) + 1 (twin lightning claws) for a total of 8. My opponent argued that it should only be 7 since The Raven's Talons do not specifically state that they are lightning claws. This seemed absurd to me, but sure enough in the codex there is no mention of the "paired lightning claws" rule for Shrike specifically. What are everyone's thoughts? I cloned this post from my earlier post on the Raven Guard forum as we are all a bit biased :P. Love seeing our boy wreck stuff post promotion. Zephaniah Adriyen
Your opponent's right, the Raven's Talons aren't lightning claws rules-wise and don't get the paired lightning claws rule. That's speaking as someone who's about to get a Shrike and would be biased toward the extra attack. Panzer
Definitely 7. Just because his weapons look like two Lightning Claws doesn't automatically mean that it gives an additional attack. What's important is what's written in the weapons profile. Quixus
Exactly, you may however write to GW to find out if it was an omission or a deliberate choice not to make them lightning claws plus extra rules.
