Imren
Depends on what to mask, in generally, flat/curved larger areas I use masking tape. For smaller fiddly areas poster tac is more suitable. If I know the predominant colour for one part will be different than the rest, then I paint that separately. For example, when painting deathwatch infantry, one shoulder pad is painted in a silver/steel gradient separately from body, the other shoulder pad i airbrushed in a green or white/light grey etc gradient depending on chapter (salamander, white scars etc) and the body is is airbrushed in a black gradient separately from the shoulder pads. Many space marine chapters/legions (salamanders, emperors children, world eaters etc) have different predominant colour on the shoulder pads so they should be airbrushed separately. Fajita Fan
Washi masking tape. If you're going for rounded shapes like camouflage you can use blue tack. https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B078GBHX5T/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_search_asin_title?ie=UTF8&psc=1 Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/359546-masking/#findComment-5417280 Share on other sites
