Kolgrim DeathHowl
I saw this thing on the online store and was like holy crap I need this even if I can't use it lol. So I got a really good deal on ebay for 2 LR's for pretty much the price of one. So I plan on making it. Where can I find the data sheet for this? I've tried to google it and I can't find it, I see some promising pictures in the images section but they were all for different stuff. My other question is, is it still a transport too? Would be cool to use that as a vehicle for my Inquisitor. Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/359552-terminus-ultra-question/ Share on other sites
Chaplain Augustus
It's an index choice for ultras or from chapter approved 2017 I think. No transport capacity. MARK0SIAN
Yeah it’s an index only unit. It’s available to ultramarines normally but I think other chapters can use it in open play. It’s also 420 points if you are ultramarines so quite pricey :) Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/359552-terminus-ultra-question/#findComment-5416649 Share on other sites
Kolgrim DeathHowl
Killed my hopes and dreams, but that's fine the deal I got on ebay was too good to pass up. I'll probably use magnets on it so I can make it just for fun but swap it out if I decide to play with it. Thanks for the infos though! MegaVolt87
This should have been re-worked into the UM supplement as a new LOW choice IMO. Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/359552-terminus-ultra-question/#findComment-5416732 Share on other sites
BLACK BLΠFLY
Ishagu runs one, hopefully he will reply here. Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/359552-terminus-ultra-question/#findComment-5416735 Share on other sites
Kolgrim DeathHowl
While I was googling it I found a thing on reddit said they mentioned it in a stream or something on twitch, I kind of read it real fast and moved on cause I was looking for the data sheet. So maybe it will have something updated. Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/359552-terminus-ultra-question/#findComment-5416853 Share on other sites
zero88
They used to sell the upgrade sprue, all it was was Predator Lascannons sponsors and a Razorback Lascannons turret. Magnets should make it a pretty quick and easy swap Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/359552-terminus-ultra-question/#findComment-5416912 Share on other sites
Ishagu
Hey. I have one, and it's actually a lot of fun now in the new codex. Do you run an Ultramarines army? The rules are in the Index, and the unit has been updated with the Angels of Death rules as well. It's only available to the Ultras in matched play but the unit is indeed legal. It got a big boost now that you can have Chronus pilot it, so it's firing at BS2+ and not degrading in terms of accuracy. Comes in at 450 along with Chronus, and imo I think it's mandatory that you take him. It's also worth spending 1 CP to have Chronus' warlord trait take effect, allowing the Tank to disengage and shoot without penalty. The vehicle is not a transport unfortunately. If you are an Ultramarines player this is a decent High AT output platform to run instead of an Executioner, as an example. Because of the lack of Invul the tank CAN still be destroyed by an opponent so it's worth deploying it behind LoS blocking terrain. It's a really cool looking model, visually. You can use the Razorback Las Cannon turret and Predator sponsons to make one, I wish I had invested in the "Extra armour" resin pack from Forgeworld to make it look even more chunky. If I put one together again I'd use one of the exotic LR chassis from FW to make it stand out. Kolgrim DeathHowl
I got some Ultramarines at my aunts house in FL, I'm gonna head down there and pick up all my warhammer stuff and bring it back after Thanksgiving. Currently I don't know how to play I started in the early 2000s and then stopped and picked back up now. I want to start playing eventually, I figure when I get an army painted and table top ready I'd go up to a one of the few shops and start. I went to a couple of them they said whenever I get my army together just come up there. But knowing this about the Terminus, I might have to make a detachment for my DW. You can have 3 different detachments in a 2000 point game? I've got like a 2k SW army down at my aunts house too which I really want to get. Ya once I saw it on the GW store where it was no longer available, I was like I have to make this thing even if I can't use it. But using it with a detachment of my DW sounds cool when I eventually get to playing. Ishagu
You can make an army of multiple detachments from different factions, although it must be said that with the latest Astartes codex there are significant rules detriments to doing so. It's worth picking a chapter and building it up, as things might change in a similar way for BA/DA/SW and DW in the near future. OrkPlayer137
Unfortunately, it is a Lord of War choice and so you need to take it as part of a Supreme Command Detachment if you want to benefit from Ultramarines' Chapter Tactics, as they don't apply in Super Heavy Auxiliary Detachments. Another curious thing: there is an image of a Terminus Ultra in the Armoury section of the new Ultramarines Codex, but no rules for it! Seems like they thought about putting it in, then decided not to and forgot that it was already mentioned in the first part of the book. Finally, note that there is also now a datasheet for it in Apocalypse - I think it was missing from the original datasheet release, but they added it to the updated version released very recently. Machine God
I built one when they first came out and any Space Marine Chapter could field them in Apocalypse. I used the Predator turret and added a Baneblade Lascannon turret to the top of the Predator turret where the crew hatch is with a pin and a piece of sprue so that it rotates. I also converted the Lascannon from the Predator turret by sawing the two barrels in half keeping the left one which I glued to the right half of the Autocannon gun mount which has the scope/searchlight. Its a nice model that I can't use anymore. Ho hum... Edit: Remembered about the weapons.
