BLACK BLΠFLY
Tiggy cannot perils on snake eyes because you add +1 right? Only Nidz could mess it up. Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/359560-tiggy-and-snake-eyes/ Share on other sites
Prot
Well my understanding is you perils on a roll of 2 ones, or 2 sixes. So yes, he still perils. Panzer
Prot is right. You peril because of the double 1s, not because your total is 2 etc. Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/359560-tiggy-and-snake-eyes/#findComment-5416873 Share on other sites
Jolemai
That's interesting. So Perils is on a natural roll, whereas modifiers only count for casting/denying purposes? Slasher956
ok perils rule If you roll a double 1 or a double 6 when taking a Psychic test, the psyker immediately suffers Perils of theWarp. Now this doesnt say anyting about being before or after modifiers.... when you look at the rules on the next page about hit and wounds they all say a roll of 1 fails irrespective of modifiers. So I'd go with GW writes rolls to mean after re-rolls but before modifiers. Tyriks
The psychic test isn't a typical roll. Tigurius (and Ahriman, Magnus, the Lord of Change, et cetera) add to the total value of the psychic test, NOT to one of the dice. So I agree with Prot - the total roll is unrelated to the Perils, and the modifier is unrelated to the individual dice. Kallas
Also note: a double six will still successfully cast a power after the Perils has been resolved (and so assuming the Psyker is still alive). If a model has sufficient bonuses/a low enough Warp Charge power, then a double one could still succeed after the Perils. So Perils doesn't mean "fail", but a double one Perils often does due to Warp Charges tending to be quite high. Magnus the Red, for example, gets +2 to cast, and can get a further +1 from a stratagem: rolling a double one would still be enough to cast Smite after the Perils. (This is ignoring his reroll buff!) BLACK BLŒ FLY
Thanks y’all for the clarification. I’d just use the reroll. Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/359560-tiggy-and-snake-eyes/#findComment-5416985 Share on other sites
