Flyer Bane --- Imperial Fist Stalkers

I think Eldar Flyer spam has a new nemesis.... an IF Stalker, using the "Skyfire" Strat and supported by a Chapter Master and Lieutenant has 6 x S7 AP-2 Dmg3 shots a turn... against a typical T6 3+ save Ailotoc Flyer with -2 to Hit, it averages 5-6 hits, about 5 wounds, 3-4 unsaved wounds, and 9-12 damage inflicted... if you get lucky and roll a 6 for any of those wound rolls, then the damage becomes 5 for that shot, making the Stalker even more lethal to the flyers!

Yeah this thing is awesome. It's also a very solid T8 platform for 95 points. I don't know if you want more than one of them, due to the strat only working once, but the first one is fantastic.

Those Eldar flyers will probably try pretty hard to kill the thing of course. It won't get to keep doing this for long. But with T8 it won't die all that easily, taking heat from your other stuff.

A stalker could also act as cover for a techmarine gunner and TFC - benefiting from repairs would make it even harder to shift.

I currently do JUST THAT. ×2, in my current TAC list for game nights. Even as Raven Guard, it is brutal. Put each pair in the back corners of your deployment zone, and just draw a radius for each weapon system. The amount of board covered is breath taking. Note where they overlap, and make every effort to keep them there. The Stalkers have shorter range, if you can call that short, but with them in your back corners, the only "safe place" for them is in the back center of their deployment zone. That will really mess with the head of someone who plays a lot of fliers, especially if those fliers cannot hover in place.
