Whitelion
Guys, does anyone remember the quotations of vortex missiles used by the Titans in the novels? Vortex quotes used by ships would also be fine Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/359643-souce-of-effect-of-vortex-missiles-in-novels/ Share on other sites
jaxom
Spear of the Emperor has a great description of a vortex grenade being used, but I don't know if that would fit as it is definitely not on the same scale as titan or ship weapons. jaxom
It didn't explode outwards and spray fragmentation debris. It tore through physical law, ripping through reality instead of flesh and metal. I can't describe the colours that swallowed that section of the chamber, because my eyes are natural and mechanical, and what I saw was outside the realms of both. If fire and hate and acid were colours, they would be the colour of that vortex. It was a hole in the ship and a maw in reality, and a wound in the world. The sound it made was the sound you would hear if a city of a hundred thousand men and women woke to find their children dead.... I still slid in the force of that tempest, blown and dragged towards the puncture that led into the open ocean of the Sea of Souls. Khalan
They basically tear holes into the warp and suck in. Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/359643-souce-of-effect-of-vortex-missiles-in-novels/#findComment-5419613 Share on other sites
Whitelion
I love Vortex weapons, they make the concept of firepower useless, they simply take the target and make it disappear, and nothing will ever be known. You can be a battleship or a space marine, you can have nuclear warheads or cyclonic torpedoes ..... but you will disappear the first time.
