The red ax blade makes him look intimidating as hell; I recommend it for that reason.

 

What backstory do you have in mind? A native Fenrisian who was recruited into the Custodes? (As Custodes don't have gene-seed, a Space Wolf can't simply replace his gene-seed with another Primarch's, the way Epimetheus replaced his Dark Angels gene-seed with that of the Grey Knights.)
