WickedJester1013
How do the Adeptus Sororitas view the primarchs and the marines that come from them? I would imagine primarchs being the “sons” of the emperor as being highly respected and thus the “sons” of the primarchs in a similar manner? MasterDeath
Depending on the radicalism levels: Demigods to Mutants. Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/359952-primarchs/#findComment-5428621 Share on other sites
Gederas
Yeah. Pretty much what MasterDeath said. Hell, in the Sisters of Battle omnibus, the Sisters in the first story say Astartes are dangerously deviant because they allow Psykers into their ranks, instead of just burning them (the irony of a Sororita saying this, while worshipping THE GREATEST HUMAN PSYKER EVER, is not lost on me ). But from what I've seen, most times Sororitas and Marines are shown, the Sororitas are in awe of the Astartes. WickedJester1013
Gederas, you mean the faith and Fire part of that book? I just started reading that a few days ago and remember that line. Is that why they are pictured with black Templar’s a lot of the time? Don’t they also say that Psykers I service to the imperium are at some level tolerated? Also I find a huge irony in the work of the emperor, in his quest for a secular empire of rational, scientific minded people, he instead created the largest religion in the setting lol Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/359952-primarchs/#findComment-5428713 Share on other sites
Servant of Dante
I mean I think they're depicted with the Black Templars a lot because both were at the Fall of Cadia, and the BT are also pretty religious and anti-witch. As far as I know, Navigators and Astroptaths are tolerated to a somewhat greater extent than many other witches because they're absolutely necessary for the Imperium to function. I personally fall hard on the puritan side in how I assume Sisters see Marines (including primarchs), they're more or less sanctioned mutants (variations on humanity) but they were created by the Emperor so that makes them more trustworthy than, say, Ogryn. But still mutants that use witches. :P Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/359952-primarchs/#findComment-5428731 Share on other sites
WickedJester1013
Really mutants? Even though they are a direct work of the emperor? It’s like they didn’t listen to anything the emperor said and decided to worship the idea of him lol Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/359952-primarchs/#findComment-5428757 Share on other sites

It’s like they didn’t listen to anything the emperor said and decided to worship the idea of him lol Well, the emperor was atheist so I'm not sure why this specific point is any different than the rest of the Ministorum's beliefs. Marines aren't purely human, they're genetically modified right? I did mention I assume that Sisters cut them more slack because they were designed by the Emperor, but they're still not fully human. But that's just the way I see it. In the Fall of Cadia books we have Celestine being super happy about Guilliman being back, if I recall correctly. WickedJester1013
Well I mean meant the imperial church in general when I said adpetus Sororitas. And the rest of you points make sense just surprising to hear. Mean out of touch with the sisters lore for some years so trying to relearn it. RolandTHTG
Not necessarily with Black Templars, but I could definitely see a sister talking down to a space marine from a more secular chapter after she's faced off against chaos marines. "The emperor's chosen, huh? How many of you have fallen from his light, half was it?" "The emperor's chosen, huh? How many of you have fallen from his light, half was it?" Oh gosh. I love this. I'm making this part of my the orders personality now. Just forever sassing marines at every turn. Works considering the background. Their teeth (and Wulfen) dont help either.
