BT Upgrade Kit Special Weapons

Hey guys, quick modelling question on the BT upgrade kit - we get several flamers, meltaguns & plasmaguns but they're all modelled separately without a right arm connection like the boltguns in the kit - there's also no right arms to fit these - any ideas on how to model them? Cheers

"Historically" you'd use the set with the old tactical marine kit, which had arms you'd use with those weapons. The bolters in those kits were separate as well. So you'd cut off the grip, glue the right arm (which was molded holding a grip), done. I'm not sure about the latest tactical marine sprue iteration, but as long as there's an arm that can hold a bolter, you can mod it to hold those specials.

Yeah, this is what happens when you design an upgrade kit to fit the original tac marine kit, then upgrade the tac marine kit, but not the upgrade kit!

 

Cut the hands off the boltguns. Do it carefully and you have boltguns for the rack in the LRC.

 

Also, with more patience you can make a combi-plasma out of that boltgun and a plasma pistol.

You'll also notice other minor inconsistencies like that that you need to remove pegs from one of the torso halves to fit the tabards with a tactical marine kit. It's from 2005, so it was built with another space marine range in mind. It doesn't come with transfers either, like other upgrade sprues do, which is a problem since those have dried up elsewhere

I cut off the grip and cut off a Bolter some where, then Pin the special weapon to the now empty hand
