Or just don’t add a HB to the old model and just remember it’s there :D it’s not like where it is on the model matters in 8E, and since it’s not even optional I wouldn’t think WYSIWYG would be that big a deal

Fortunately I'm replacing my exorcists so i don't have to worry about that.

 

For whatever situation I might need an immolator for (there isn't one they're terrible) I'm planning on just gluing an onmodified heavy bolter from the space marine devastor squad to the turret pilots forehead. Should I ever need to use one, which I won't.

I’m not a massive fan of the new sculpt and I already have 3 metal ones (especially with the Rule of 3 I don’t necessarily need more)

 

I suppose there are still uses for Immolation Flamer Immolators, but the extra 12ppm, especially for a heavy bolter they're not using (unless Argent Shroud) is a bit hard to swallow.

Why aren't they using it?

 

 

 

Because the Immolation Flamer is an assault weapon, and with only a 12" range you're more than likely advancing it to get it in range to shoot. Truth be told, the only "build" the heavy bolter seems to make any sense on is to run three heavy bolters on your Immolator. The price on the multi-melta turret has me completely turned off to it, especially combined with the fact vehicles have -1 to-hit while moving and firing heavy weapons (something I have disagreed with all edition), otherwise I could see an argument for Twin MM + HB. Either way, the damn thing should have been optional, not mandatory, on both the Exorcist and Immolators.

Ah, I didn't know that was assault. I had assumed it was heavy! Silly me.

 

I mean, I also assumed it was just a couple heavy flamers so I'm all sorts of messed up.
