Another battle report, right on the heels of my last one! I faced off against a Raven Guard Successor Chapter last night. Boy howdy, I just do not know how to deal with the new Marine rules. Combat Doctrines are insanely good.

Just typed a whole lot of garbage I didn't need to. Thank you for the batrep! :D Hopefully CA2019 with the points drops will help you get more on the table. :D

Grey Knights just had a huge points drop. I think this will help a lot. Not resolve the issue, but help. Also, Why bring the knight? Just felt like playing with one? Grey Knights are one of those elite armies. Imho, they should never be allied in with other elite units. I would want to group them with something like IG. An army with spammable units that also get you a good deal of CP. Grey Knights have really good anti-infantry options, hell they all have stormbolters.

I'd try and modify the list a little. Take one GK dreadnought with missile launcher lascannon to use with the no los power. Then take a unit of paladins, term apothecary, and Draigo. Then fill out the red of the detachment with the GKs that can shunt up the field once per battle and start them in the lines with the IG.

Gear out the IG for anti-armor.

Not saying this will work. But it is what I would do.

Thank you! I honestly just hadn't played my Knight Paladin in a long time and I wanted to see what he could do against a modern Marines list. Turns out not a lot!

Between this and the Fists one, you certainly are a glutton for punishment

My goal over the next few months is to play against each of the new Marine supplements. I've done Ultramarines, Raven Guard, and Fists. I might go against Iron Hands next week!

It would really be interesting for you to replay some of these games and opponents after Ritual of the Damned drops.
