They have Guilliman. :D The Chapter Champion is still an absolute boss. Just having that one unit on the board is going to shift an opponent's priorities in an absurd way. This makes his CP/Point investments as on of the best investments you can make in your army. Units that force your opponent to shift their play-style or possibly lose are incredibly powerful. StrummersGhost Posted December 12, 2019 Share Posted December 12, 2019 I fancy trying this guy out, any tips on who he should ride with and how to make him survivable?I've used a Chapter Champion inside a Rhino and accompanied by 5 Company Veterans with Storm Shields and Storm bolters. He brings the close combat muscle whilst the squad jumps out and pumps 20 shots into something whilst tanking hits Cheers for the advice! Going to try this in a drop pod as suggested by Aothaine Something to keep in mind if you do go with the drop pod approach. He will have no impact on priority targets for your opponent until he is on the board. This could potentially mean you opponent will have a round of shooting where his priorities are not stressed. Just something to keep in mind. There is a very solid argument for putting him in a Rhino/Land Raider/Storm Raven Gunship.
