Craftworlds Point Changes CA 2019

Hey folks,

 

Since no one seems to want to do this, I thought we could benefit from the rumoured changes to points.

 

What I've done is taken my own research, and then a friend of mine over the pond in the U.K. has graciously shared a data sheet with me of all the points he's noted.

Quite a few points drops then. What effect do you see this having? More Wraith units on the table? People buying the Banshees that have coincidentally just been re-released? ;)

Gotta admit, kinda regretting that I sold all of my Eldar earlier this year... :(

With the wraithguard points drops I may be able to squeeze an additional 1-2 models on the board at 2k.

 

Honestly, these CA point mods don’t make me think I can better tune my current lists or build something different. They’re more “I can buy this upgrade” for me. Maybe because I do t play ITC that I think 50-100 points less cost means much.

My 1500 list has gone down 20 points.. Hardly enough to do anything, but I suppose it means the units are doing well?

 

Big winners are axe guard who might finally be worth putting on the table, going from astronomic cost to merely LOW numbers.

 

Talking about LOW, wraith knight is slowly paying off its sins from 7th and becoming a good runner up. Cannon load out dropping *50* points and any shield variant dropping 45. Sadly I still think it's too much as the sword is pointless, sun cannon is terrible (just make it an avenger gatling already!) and d cannons have no survivability.

 

If you cost as much as a knight and shoot worse or die easier, get off the field.

I agree with above. These drops aren't making any fundamental changes. Just a few upgrades here and there.

A friend of mine was telling me the Hemlock Wraithfighter went down 20 points. I can't see it, unless the discount resides in some wargear/weapons or something I'm missing. Is anyone aware of this? (of course I just bought one too.)

So that leads to the question - what take prioity ?   CA or Ledgends?

Personally I'm going with Chapter Approved! The Legends FAQ came out before CA 2019 hit, therefore CA 2019 is the most recent.

Just a note to update the question of the Bonesinger: no correction was made in the CA 2019 FAQ which came out in February. Bonesingers are still fieldable ;)
