sturguard
Hey folks, I am hoping you guys can kind of give me an update of the last year. I really havent played much, collected or painted at all. So my wife asked what I wanted for Christmas, and if I didnt give her some ideas, Im getting a lump of coal! I have a 40k SW and Eldar army, 30k 1K Sons and I have some of the new Adeptus Titanicus on sprue that eventually Ill be painting and assembling. I looked on the GW website. It looks like I could use the CA 2019 - just the standard one, I dont think I would get any use out of the $80 version. Is there any SW stuff in the Psychic Awakenings- Faith and Fury? What about the Phoenix Rising- PA for my Eldar Army? New AT stuff? Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated- again, I have pretty much missed out on the past year. Thanks! NightHowler
Leviathan Dread with two storm cannons would be what I would ask for. Karhedron
Psychic Awakening have not reached the Space Wolves yet. It looks like we will probably have to wait for PA6 (Saga of the Beast)to get our turn. PA1 Phoenix Rising contains some good stuff for Eldar. There is a new Psychic discipline (Runes of Fate) that contain a selection of neat buffing powers. There are also DIY Craftworld traits which allow you to come up with some cool combos. Chapter Approved is always handy for the latest points. Space Wolves get some significant point drops in the latest edition, particularly for our named characters. There is also the Talons of Morkai battleforce boxset which gives quite a tasty discount over buying the assorted units individually although I don't know if you need all the units inside. Leviathan Dreads are amazing (almost a baby-Knight) but I don't how Forgeworld goes down in your area. sturguard
Nighthowler and Karhedron, Actually the last model I assembled was my leviathan dread with dual stormcannons. So CA2019 and PA1 Phoenix Rising should do it? I dont really see any models I need. I did see FW added some weapons to the Deredo Dred- I actually picked one of those up as well, are the new missiles/weapon good? Might also get some FW weapons for my AT titan, any thoughts on which are the coolest? ranulf the revenant
How about just a nice new set of paints to play around with if you don't really need models?
