Atrus
With tongue firmly planted in cheek, approach this thread. Much satire and deliberate misreading. Purpose is hyperbolic fun. So GW has released a new codex and surprise surprise it's another example of power creep at play. Of course we can see this is blatantly apparent because GW want to desperately sell new models. What are these new models? Gosh I dunno, some army full of girls no one has heard about. "Sister of Battle". Never seen anyone play them before. Guess this is GW playing the diversity card. Ugh. So did you know that a basic generic no name no body leader of these little girls can take out a knight castellan - at full health, with nothing but a chansword!? This is utterly ridiculous! She has 4 basic attack, but if you surround her with some priest and a pretty banner and give her a freaking relic that is nothing but a chainsword, give her a certain chapter tactic and warlord trait and she can have 10 (yes that's right, 10!) Strength 5 attacks. This nobody can give freaking greater daemons a run for their money. But wait, there's more. These girls also have super doctrines that give them 3xtra attacks when they get 6s to hit. That potentially 20 attacks from this generic character! I hear you say, oh but that's only on 6s, that's unlikely. Oh theres more. These girls have a completely garbage syst where they have cheat dice to swap out their rolls. So all those 6s you don't think will happen? Guess what, now they're guaranteed and for only 2 CP, those 6s count as auto wounds too! Wow. Just wow. Now the icing on the cake? That chainsword is 2 damage too. So not only is she doubling her attacks to 20 now, but she just wiped out a freaking Castellan with her 40 damage because that Castellan doesn't have a hope of making it's 6+ armour save. This is just disgusting. This just leaves a bad taste in my mouth. I had to put that abomination of a book down. What other nonsense have people seen in this latest installment of the arms race?
