General Strike
So, I'm trying to figure out how to pull together an army idea I have. I want to use Zephyrim and Seraphim, and build a castle around the Triumph inside the battle sanctum. How would you guys build this? General Strike
I was thinking something like: Bloody Rose Cannoness Celestine Triumph of St Katherine Troops 4x 10x Sister Squads Elites 3x Zephyrim Squads: 10x Sisters Fast Attack 3x Seraphim Squads: Plasma Pistol, 2x Inferno Pistol Sisters Heavy Support 2x Exorcists Fortification Battle Sanctum It's hard to fit everything in points wise, but my Canoness and Sis Squads stack up with Triumph in the Battle Sanctum and shift to objectives. The Zephyrims would kill GEQ and MEQ, and the Seraphim either TEQ hunt or Light Vehicle hunt. The Exorcists kill anything heavy and stay in my back line. ThePenitentOne
I would sister soup it- break up the battalion into 2 smaller detachments. Make your castle girls Sacred Rose for overwatch shenanigans and keep the Zephyrim as Bloody Rose for CC death. Your army will still benefit from sacred rites, because even though they are different Orders, they're still all Sororitas. It may mean fewer CP though, so it's a trade off. Doing two Battalions will still give you +10 CP- not as good as +12, but in the same neighbourhood. I love Sister Soup. I go the full 9 yards and use pre-game strats to give both orders a warlord trait and relic. Whether you Sister Soup or not, I'd suggest a hospitaller to hang with the castle girls to rez heavy weapons when they die. Also, castle girls are good in big squads. RolandTHTG
I think an Imagefier would also be good for the castle. That ignore -1 ap bubble will help the sisters withstand firepower. ERJAK
If you wanted to do a shock and awe, counter charge castle, I wouldn't take any more seraphim or battle sisters than I absolutely had to. Just enough BS to fill the battalion and 2 squads of seraphim for deepstriking. Repentia, arcos, and mortifiers are where most of your points should be going, after zephyrim. You also need adequate buff characters. 1-2 imagifiers, a dialogus, and a hospitaller are basically mandatory in a setup like this. I would split the shooting units into either a valorous heart or argent shroud vanguard. A missionary and 3 units of Valorous heart retributors should work and be very easy to fit. At the end of the day, Bloody rose are more about agressive face murder than camping out a sanctum. If you really want a difficult to shift castle, Valorous Heart is where it's at.
