infyrana
I like the vallejo putty, fills easily and files nice. But it is a bit thin and can get everywhere when trying to tidy up what you've filled. It's no thick easy to manipulate milliput, but I've never worked well with normal green stuff anyway. The liquid GS I had dried up so fast in the pot before hardly using much of it that it made my old dried up paints still look wet. ranulf the revenant
My only complaint with Milliput is how it kinda gets all over the place unless the one I bought was extra crumbly. It's actually quite controllable with the alcohol method. You can just cover the gap with roughly the right amount (with some surplus) of Miliput, then use a brush (or any other tool of course) dipped in alcohol to smooth it out Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/360645-liquid-greenstuff-alternatives/page/2/#findComment-5450267 Share on other sites
Fajita Fan
I just bought some 91% to strip paint, do you recommend that or 70%? ranulf the revenant
I honestly don't even know what the percentage of the stuff I'm using is Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/360645-liquid-greenstuff-alternatives/page/2/#findComment-5450397 Share on other sites
Spacecow
I’ll be hijacking this thread : anyone have a trick to fill in gaps after a paint job with sub assemblies? For very small ones I’ve tried using varnish and that sometimes works. But I haven’t found a solid way of doing it, especially for larger gaps.
