I'm just getting back into the hobby and am terrible with these things. I want to modify the Shadowspear Infiltrators so that I have 2 5 man squads with a comm array in each. I figured painting one as a sergeant would be okay, and intend to get a normal box for Incursors so I can use the array from there on one. I'm not sure what I can do to rig up a second array, and I have no idea how to make the Apothecary not an Apothecary. The monopose nature of them is throwing me off.

Just curious if anyone has suggestions to pull this off or has done something similar? I'm very new to modifying miniatures so no suggestion is too obvious :p

Might be worth checking ebay as people sell bits of kits on ther and I have seen the comms parts on there. Failing that have a dig in your bits box and use apothecary as the basis of the convertsion. I fed a cable from the arm on the apothecary to the pack for mine for example.

If you're buying a box of Infiltrators / Incursors it's worth knowing that you get two Comms Arrays in there. The box is made up of 2 sets of sprues, each has a Comm Array.

Annoyingly, the full multi-part Infiltrator kit doesn't have parts for the Helix Adept - that's only in the SC Vanguard / Shadowspear kit.

Thank you both. I did not realize the box came with two. I wonder if I clip off the stabby bits from the reductor and put a comm on the helix-adept it would help it simply look like an info screen of some kind.

To add to this, the Comms marine has a kind of radar dish attached to his backpack not too dissimilar to the ones that come on the vehicle upgrade sprue so if you have those sitting around in your bits box I can see you easily being able to kitbash them into comms marines

A thought from me as well. Shadowspear already has one comms guy, the one with the bare head and half mask. You can give him the antenna dish from the multi-part kit for extra looks.

For the second commsman, I've made myself this guy here using Shadowspear 'walking guy' body (arm cut off obviously) and head+arms from the multi-part

There is hole in his chest on the right where a pouch would normally fit, but it's easy to fill if you want. I didn't do that and it's perfectly hidden under the arm.

As for the Helix Adept, I built him, but added an EtB Reiver with some spare bolter hands to get the missing man to fill 2x5-man squads (+Adept)
The ex-Reiver is on the far right on the picture:
