After throwing around ideas, I've settled on this as my final Dark Angels list. The aim was to create a thematic Deathwing-styled list that feels relevant in a 30k setting. My last post was pitched towards a 2.5k army size but I've upped it based on local meta and for flexibility. In my mind, this looks fairly competitive while remaining simple and fun to play.

I went with the Seekers as a solid plasma-loaded scoring unit plus thought they were fairly thematic (if only they could take plasma repeaters...). The three terminator squads (HQ + Troops) act as the Deathwing core for both damage output, resilience and scoring. Their wargear is spread to cover various roles. Couldn't help but field a big squad of Master-Crafted Acid Bolter Heavy Support lads led by the new Armistos Consul (BYO Dark Angels hoodies).

The Mortis, Speeders and Predators are reminiscent of a typical 40k Dark Angels vehicle selection with plenty of Las for dealing with AV and volkite/bolters for infantry.

Take this with a grain of salt as I'm no 30k expert, but I really like this list - looks like lots of fun. One thing that might be worth considering is looking at getting some combi-grenade launchers into the terminator squads for those beautiful stasis shells.

Thanks for the feedback Weeping Angel - Great idea, I'll switch some of the volkite chargers on the Command Squad and infantry focused Terminator Squad. Those Calibanite Blades and Lightning claws will shine if they are hitting first in close combat. Some of the old metal terminator models I'm using have 2nd edition grenade harnesses which look great as Combi-Nade launchers.

I have also considered exchanging one of the Predators for a Whirlwind Scorpius because I have a classic dark angels Whirlwind from 3rd edition. It's a beautiful model and would be fun to incorporate despite losing some Las fire-power.

Cheers
