As much as I liked the Gloomspite Gitz and the Bonereapers, as awesome as Agatone is, as amazing as plastic Sisters are, as glorious as the return of Slaanesh was, as great as the Chaos Knight is, as sweet as the Warcry warbands are, and as marvelous as old as hell models like Jain Zar and the Chaos Marines and Warriors getting a refresh is, and as fantastic as the many other releases this year have been...

Yeah, can't beat Abaddon.

If I could do a top 3, the Keeper would come second and the Penitent Engine third, but Abaddon takes the cake.

Voted for a large, diorama-like, multi-model death commander from AoS. But for this board and its subject material, I think the Chaos Knight kit is the best, though I love Mephiston. Shout out to the GSC Jackals, which are great biker kits.

I went for the Lizardman Blood Bowl team as I had a blast painting them. I would have voted Mephiston otherwise, but I haven't managed to get mine yet to look at closely. My Mechanicus bias didn't factor into it because the Skorpius is still a fancy box when you consider it. :p

Honestly, this made me think about what AoS and 40k got this year and damn ... there have been a TON of great models. Several GSC as well as SoB models would have been worthy of the vote as well as many of the Warcry models or Katakros or the Gothizzar Harvester but also of course Abaddon or the Chaos Knights. Plenty others as well.

In the end I voted for Gotrek Gurnisson though. Really great model but also a great character with great stories.

It really was a year full of awesome models released by GW one way or another!
