Harrowmaster
For those of you running AL as loyalists in 40k what do you use to represent them rules wise (DW are cool and have tactical flexibility but SM have a wide range of chapter tactics and access to more toys)? Panzer
Honestly if you go that route you could just take whatever you want as AL doesn't have preferences when infiltrating other chapters. ^^ Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/361076-representing-alpha-legion-using-loyalist-rules/#findComment-5260248 Share on other sites

Excessus
Not using any loyalists to represent my Alpha Legion at the moment, but if I would I'd go for...anything really. If they're loyalists they already have infiltrated... :) Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/361076-representing-alpha-legion-using-loyalist-rules/#findComment-5260264 Share on other sites
adreal
I played a escalation league as ravenguard mainly to use my primaris marines. But to be honest I missed mark of slaanesh and endless cacophony, I missed death to the false emperor and I missed butcher cannons Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/361076-representing-alpha-legion-using-loyalist-rules/#findComment-5260383 Share on other sites
Harrowmaster
Thanks for the input lads, I'll probably run "loyalist" AL in 40k with the SM dex because of the widest range of toys and with RG tactics due to the identical nature. Daemon Prince Marbas
Deathwatch has a lot of toys to play with and Banestrike Rounds just like the Alpha Legion. Harrowmaster
Deathwatch has a lot of toys to play with and Banestrike Rounds just like the Alpha Legion. I know they do but the SM codex gives me more units that I can use to emulate my 30k force (Seekers as sternguard, different types of termis, stolen locutarus as vanguard, quad mortars) plus it means I don't need to buy another codex Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/361076-representing-alpha-legion-using-loyalist-rules/#findComment-5261136 Share on other sites
Legionare
I run my Alpha Legion as Space Wolves. No particular reason, i simply had SW Battleforce at the time of reading Legion and one thing led to another. Though i have to say that the Lone Wolf stratagem if quite fitting for AL as you can suddenky exclaim that your one remaining terminator was in fact Alpharius and give hin two more wounds and Character keyword.
