Greetings all, let me introduce myself, im Phrazer and i came SO CLOSE to selling all my Space Marines!!

OK, admission time, it was all to do with the transition to Primaris. Dont get me wrong, i loved the models, they fitted in so nicely with my Forgeforld Red Scorpion army with the same kind of helmates etc, but the thought of all my old marines being obsolete after they had done me so pround for so many years didnt sit well, so i focussed on my Imperial Guard army and succeeded in getting resaonably good with it.

Time moved on, and one weekend myself and my mates made the pilgrimage up to Warhammer World in Nottingham and had a wonderful weekend there gaming, eating, drinking and being merry. If you havent been there i totally recommend it, its a great day out!! Anyway, we were there on the weekend of a Grand Tounrament and low and behold there were LOADS of Primaris themed army's there, and by the look of things they were giving a lot of other armies a sound beating, and whats more, they looked AWSOME!

So i packed up my Glorious Guard army and on the drive back to Cardiff i decided... I would not go quietly into the night. I would not abbandon my Battle brothers and i would not leave the Imperium one man short in their time of greatest need. I would raise a new army of Primaris and Fight!!

So here we are, i used to be a member of Heresy Online (RIP) but with new enthuiasm comes a search for a new forum to frequent, so here i am.

Im planning on doing a Project Log for my new Primaris army, who will be an army of Red Hunters, so i will mostly be asking and searching for tips for Primaris tactics etc, but ill also be frequenting the Imperial Guard secrion and anywhere else that takes my fancy really.

My armies are as follows...

Space Marine: Red Scorpions 4th Company - 5,000+ points. Ive usea a fair bit of Forgeworld pieces throughout the army, spread out so that most models have something on them, and this army is about 95% painted. Previoes editions i was a BIG fan of the drop pod assault so have 5 DP's but with the price increase these are no longer as viable as they used to be so i moved to a more conventional footing later on.

Imperial Guard: Adanian 95th Rangers - 4,000 points. Im really proud of this army, and have a lot of fluff that runs through it and is reflected in the models as well. Im very proud of the fact that i have 120 metal Kasrkin models that form 2 entire 60 man Scion Drop companies, along with 100 regular Cadian support troops, as well as all the armoured support that goes with them. I really like boots on the ground and play very troop heavy lists and they tend to do pretty well

Tau: Rhy'Fel'Wyr - 3500 points. Standard Tau army tbh, nothing special apart from the centerpiece it a Supremacy Armour Titan. Love the new Broadside models so have quite a few of them.

Orks: 2000 points ish. Not ready to play yet, mostly unpainted and in boxes, not sure what im going to do with them, not sure how much time im going to spend on Xeno filth when there are Astartes in need of some attention

Hard to beat WHW for a hobby boost - welcome to the B&C :) Glad to hear you didn't sell your army too as this is usually followed by regret!

The commissariat will expect a WIP for your regiment in the barracks soon, ready for inspection ;)

I just got some of my old models out of storage from like 20 years ago was super happy I didn't sell them. I was an ok painter at best but to have some stuff from back them just adds to the game now. Everyone here is super helpful, ask many questions I do all the time. Even the most noobish questions I get legit answers really quickly!
