techsoldaten
Curious, anyone actually using Council of Traitors? With Disco Lords, MoEs, and MoSs, finding Sorcerers and Dark Apostles don't fit into too many lists. If I want good Psychic, I bring Ahriman and some Exalted. It feels like a good Stratagem but it's a little constrained. If you were going to bring one, what Warlord Trait would you pick and why? Prot
Well I always use it. Even if there's only a Sorc or a D.A. in my list, but many times there are both. There aren't that many Black Legion specific strats I use but I use the common ones in the first turns which gets expensive. Trusted Warlord is in nearly all my lists, but I'm a sucker for Abaddon so I pretty much -need- Council of Traitors. Snazzy
I use a Bringers of Despair Brigade, so i find all of them helpful to some extent. -Chaos Lord- Chosen of the Warmaster -Dark Apostle- First Among Traitors if fighting Imperium, Lord of Terror if not. -Sorcerer- Trusted Warlord The Sorcerer is the easiest one to shoehorn in. I find the Dark Hereticus pysker table to be really powerful. Warp Time allows me to teleport Terminators in, move them and easily charge. Gift of Chaos is really effective at killing T3 characters, and Prescience can be really powerful when combined with the Dark Apostle's First Among Traitors. I generally don't care for the Dark Apostle, even with the new Prayers. But, for Black Legion, we have lots of 1 CP Strategems that feed in well with the Warlords. Dr_Ruminahui
Unfortunately you can't time warp anything that arrived on the table the same turn... its in the FAQ. That said, its still a good power. True. Best bet is to find a way to reroll them, be it through a start or add to the charge via wargear if possible. But yes, Warptime after DS, or 'reinforcement arrival' (IE: Dark Matter crystal) is illegal. That's good to know. So far no one has called me on that. But, it is good to avoid factoring in for the future. The more i think about it, the more i want my DA to hang back and provide the 5++ save to my main line. To that end, using Trusted War Leader on the DA might be better, and First Among Traitors on the Sorcerer, who i expect to be closer to the enemy. Maybe Veteran Raider as my non-Imperium trait? Not sure. Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/361224-council-of-traitors/#findComment-5465544 Share on other sites
