BrainFireBob
Greetings, frater. I've been playing 40k for nearly 20 years, sometimes intensely, sometimes just keeping track and painting. I have SMs, DAs, BL, IWs, NLs, EC, DG, and TS. I'm looking for either a project tracker or model index, if anyone knows of a good one. I used to try to track what I owned by things like Battlescribe lists, but since that app dumps details when the entry is too overhauled, that doesn't quite do it. I've actually found items I've forgotten I even painted, let alone owned. I used to have this vague concept of creating a database of datasheet-style postings; pics with descriptions. Some units are magnetized, some aren't. But at home I have an eight month old, and at work I'm in the middle of several large and urgent projects; time and mental energy for a ground-up project isn't there. Said 8 month old is part of why; I essentially realized I need to put my hobby on "pause" for a bit. Anyone have any good suggestions? I mainly want to have an index of what I have, what it's armed with, and where I'm storing it; pics a plus. MegaVolt87
You could set up an excel database to do it. You would have the time when you are on night watch for the young one. Slasher956
excel or access DB would be your best bet..... in fact having a quick look office 2019 (O365) access gives you a pre-built asset database with the following fields Item, Category, location, purchase price, current value, owner, acquired date & attachments Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/361249-index-system-for-models/#findComment-5461953 Share on other sites
Brother Casman
Maybe a project organization tool like Trello? I use the basic free version for my projects.
