Evening all,

So, I’ve been looking a little “outside the box” for some anti-psychic power options. I stumbled across the navigator pdf on the FW website and he has some really useful abilities. However, how do you interpret the “Aetheric disruption” rule:

“ Ætheric Disruption

Navigators understand, as few others can, that to perceive a thing is to alter it. By casting their gaze into the churning depths of the Abyss, they disrupt it for any who would draw upon its power.

Use at the start of the controlling player’s turn. Until the beginning of their next player turn, all Psykers, friend or foe, roll three dice and discard the lowest result for the purposes of Perils of the Warp results.”

Ive seen a few comments from people about it being written for 6th edition. However, looking at my 6th edition rule book, the rule still makes little sense. In 6th, perils of the warp was an automatic wound, no additional roles needed.

Could it be referring to the D6 role for the outcome of the perils roll, or the leadership test associated with the outcome, or both???

It should refer to the Leadership test the psyker in question needs to take when he rolls results 1, 5 or 6 on the Perils table (I.E.: results on said table).

I did use the Navigator a handful of times in the past, but eventually stopped doing so. His template attack is borderline OP for a measly 50 pts.

As for psychic defence, either get a Librarian / Esoterist of your own and chose Adamantium Will for your MT, or get a Mhara Gal in case you're running CotH.

Most often, 'psychic defence' doesn't matter in the slightest though, from my personal experience.

Perhaps “psychic defence” was the wrong term, I was considering using him in conjunction with psykout equipped destroyers. Force perils with the missile launcher after casting Aetheric disruption.
