Kitbashing Specialists - What can be done

I sat down this evening for a short spell with my new boxes. I have got to say I am really, really impressed with these new kits.

However, it struck me that unlike say SM Intercessors or Infiltrators, where the arm and head options for the squad specialists (i.e. Sergeants, Auxiliary Grenade launcher guy, Infiltrator comms guy, Incursor Mine guy), can be placed on any of the 5 body poses on the kit, thus making it easier to create some variety between squads. The Specialist options for these kits (Superiors and Simulacrum bearers mainly), are currently much less interchangeable between bodies.

For instance, the arm holding the Simulacrums is attached to the right pauldron. Meaning that arm can only go with that specific body, unless you start cutting things about a bit.

What I don't want is an army where every Simulacrum bearer, and every Superior is identical in pose. (I'm already really glad I have the LE squad to add some easy variety.)

I therefore thought it would be useful for there to be a thread where people shared there simple kitbashes within the kits, as this range gets off the ground.

I fully envisage that we will get more options going forward. (I'm kinda hoping that Sisters Superior become the new Primaris Lieutenant!)

As some form of starter, here's the quick lot bash I did this evening. I took the body from the Repentia Superior from the LE box, the arms and head from the battle sister box and the Repentia Superior backpack and knocked together this canoness:

As for the Simulacrum, I did trim the pauldron off of the second arm and got it to fit nicely under the pauldron of another body so I was able to get 2 Simulacrum out of the 1 box.  I was a bit disappointed by the 1 Superior/1 Simulacrum per battle sister box, but at least it was easy to convert with what was present in the box.

Pictures to follow, but today I managed:

Two unique looking superiors: one as standard from the troop box, the other with her gun in her left hand using the superior arms from the Retributor box.

A third superior using the Simulacrum bearer body with the spare pauldron.

I converted the Retributor Superior body into a Simulacrum bearer. This was relatively easy as the right pauldron on that model is raised up high. So I cut the pauldron off the banner pole arm and glued it in place.

Finally, I made a third Simulacrum bearer by cutting the right pauldron off one of the other bodies.

Of these two options, it was definitely easier to convert the Superior body than to try and cut the pauldron off of the body. (This is in fact the Heavy bolter/teeth pulling grenade body)
