Magnus Thane
Does GW produce Obliterator scenic bases? I am unsure which scenic base kit to pick up. I plan to put My Night Lord weapon teams on them as county as Obliterators. Same question for Chaos Bikes. Aeternus
GW doesn't really do any scenic bases (unless you mean the sector mechanicus/shattered dominion style, etc) but if you do, then unfortunately they do not produce obliterator scenic bases, only the normal plain ones (50mm), though of course easily enough you can fit the weapon team on that and add some basing materials to spice it up. Similar for bikers, GW does a sector imperialis set which includes 75mm oval which are what you want, but you'll get 6 of them and 12 others (6 60mm rounds, 6 90mm oval) that wont be much use unless you've got some dreads/helbrutes. Lots of third parties do good 50mm scenic bases though! Paturabo
There's also the Sector Imperialis Large Base Detail Kit that comes with some smaller bits that you can use to decorate the plain 50mm bases. Build your own scenic bases! Magnus Thane
Thanks yep. I had sector Imperialis but suddenly realized...These do not seem to have bike ones or Obliterator ones. But i've been out of the loop for ages about the new basesizes so i thought that maybe I missed something. For Obliterators and Chaos Bikes are there any 3rd party Obliterator bases you guys recommend? (EU based preferably) Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/361642-obliterator-scenic-bases/#findComment-5470873 Share on other sites
Aeternus
Ah, sorry if I was confusing, but GW do have the sector imperialis bases for bikes, they just come in a kit with a few other bases you might not want, which drives up the price a fair bit, here ya go :) Otherwise I'm always a fan of darkartminiatures, but they don't have many 50mm bases right now, mainly just the imperial palace style. If you're looking for a similar theme to sector imperialis, Kromlech might be a good shout and are EU based, here are their 50mm junk city and bike bases. Magnus Thane
Thanks.I actually have that GW kit but the oval bases seem oddly high for bikes. I presume it is the smallest of the long oval ones? They are considerably larger than the older ones though. Is that normal? Kromlech does seem worthwhile. I picked some other stuff from them up there for my Night Lords I think. Magnus Thane
Picked some up. Together with Kromlech kneeling legs. Thanks for the feedback! Will be fielding some bikes and Obliterator proxy weapon teams using these.Thank you to both of you!
