WolfVonhinslik
So I just got Junith for my army today, I run Duel Battalion Martyred Lady/ Ebon Chalice, Junith can only be taken with a detachment of Martyred Lady, so Im thinking about painting the Chariot my colors (Red, White and Gold) but painting Junith herself as Martyred Lady. What do you think? Pics are of my army currently for reference. Bjorn Firewalker
Excellent work on the models. Is the Sister Hospitaller performing last rites for a DEAD Sister of Battle? bkde
Great paintjobs! Regarding your original question, I'd say paint her whichever colour you feel like, I'm sure it'll look cool. Cheers! Atrus
Sounds good. Love your scheme. Love the red heads too, very very very nice. My girls are red heads too ;) Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/361676-junith-dilemma/#findComment-5471482 Share on other sites
Nicodemus Doloroso
I would say paint your Junith whatever colours you paint the Order of Our Martyred Lady detachment. You do paint your two detachments different colours right? WolfVonhinslik
I would say paint your Junith whatever colours you paint the Order of Our Martyred Lady detachment. You do paint your two detachments different colours right? No because I frequently change them up. I have base attachments that differentiate what unit is what Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/361676-junith-dilemma/#findComment-5472273 Share on other sites
Slasher956
. I have base attachments that differentiate what unit is what So long as its clear from the other side of the table..... In answer to your question. I'd be tempted to do it the otherway round - paint Junith up in your colour scheme (and magnatise her so you can put her on a normal base for an extra canoness) & paint her pulpit up in the Black, Red & Gold of OoOML! Bjorn Firewalker
It's interesting you painted in red the skeletons decorating the twin heavy flamer. Are they supposed to represent flayed corpses, to warn enemies of the Emperor what Junith will do to them? Are they supposed to represent flayed corpses, to warn enemies of the Emperor what Junith will do to them? I used the artwork from the box as a basis, it has them black like her chariot. I assume its just modeled, like the kneeling sisters holding the torches Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/361676-junith-dilemma/#findComment-5474049 Share on other sites
Bjorn Firewalker
I meant the Sisters sculpted the twin heavy flamer mount so it looks like two skeletons are bearing the weapon, and then painted the mount red so the skeletons look like recently flayed corpses- black in the original artwork, so it looks like the skeletons came from bodies whose flesh the twin heavy flamer reduced to ash.
