Just wondering if any other fraters are attending the Legio Walks event in a couple of weeks?

It'll be my first campaign weekend at WHW (and ever to be honest). Really looking forward to it and roped my regular opponent into a: starting Titanicus and B: buying a ticket! Any Princeps Senioris got any advice or tips? Would a tray be a good thing to take?

I see there's a pub quiz on the Saturday. Are they worth going to? Or better to go find a pub for a decent meal and a pint?

Hope to see some of you there!

Warhammer World event team tend to supply tray during there events for people to borrow.

If this is your first event.

Other advice - Enjoy the event.  I've found Throne of Skulls & Campaign weekend to be great fun.  Met a lot of amazing people over the years & became friends with & have had some of the best games.

End of the day we've spent the money to attend, we are there to talk to like minded hobbiest.  I've found that the event I've been to, you can happily talk to anyone.

I've found Warhammer World to be the best place for events.

As for the quiz.  It a good option & allow spend time with any great people met from the event or to catch up with friends.  Bugman bar does tend to stay open a bit later during a event, I think it until 8pm (depend the event), but I often go after game 2 incase third game take a bit longer & then time take to put my models back in there case.

I’ll be there, I hope. For reasons I won’t go into, I’ve got to get the train up from London on Saturday morning. This has gone a bit wrong the last couple of times so hopefully I’ll make it to the start. I’d come up the night before but it’s valentine’s...

Anyway, Astorum will walk. Astorum might actually have to jog from the station if things don’t go according to plan.

And yeah they have trays. You probably get entry to the exhibition with the ticket and it’s well worth having a look around.

At 40k tournaments there’s a sort of tradition of heading to a place called the waters edge, relatively nearby, on Saturday night. But I might hang around for the quiz.

The Valentines issue took a little bit of negotiation... But glad we’re going the night before as it’s a 2.5hr drive.

Thanks for the tips, good to know about the trays sand will see how my mate feels about the quiz. Hope to see Astorum in action!
