MegaVolt87
What is the right way to base a Primarch if you don't use the scenic base? I had a small brain moment and didn't magnetize Perty's scenic base he came with- so what do I do for a non scenic legal base option for him? Gederas
Their "gaming" bases are 40mm bases, so that's the smallest you can go. I stuck my Perturabo on a 50mm because I didn't want to use the piece of a Knight he comes with, and his stance was too wide to fit on a 40mm: Vykes and Gorgoff 2 Back to top Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/361723-how-to-legaly-base-a-primarch/#findComment-5472484 Share on other sites
Vykes
100% agreeing with Gederas on this one: for the most part there's a sort of 'within reason' stance i take on Primarchs, and from 40mm on up is usually good. I have 2 Horus Lupercal models (to be 3 come ETL), one uses the full 60mm display base exclusively, another uses the 40mm game base, and the ETL will likely be on either a 50mm or a 42X75mm oval, depending on how I finish the scene I want to set with him. My opponents have used a ton of different sizes and models, Pert I've seen on 40's-60's, I've seen Sang on one of those bigger 80mm ones with some fantastic detail. The only one I'd question is the enormous Dorn model oval, and even then, if I'm fighting an apoc scale battle with a bunch of Imperial fists and they have a Dorn on that enormous scenic base, then whatever. MegaVolt87
Thanks for the input guys. 50mm seems the way to go for Perty with the way his legs are positioned.
