DaBoiKyknos
Cool painting! ~ Apart from that this looks like a really cool kit. StraightSilver
Well, despite not updating this thread for a while I have actually managed to get some painting done. :) I now have enough terrain painted to fill 3 tiles, or 4 if I add scatter. The plan is to get 9 tiles done with at least 2 levels, but hopefully 3 so I still have a way to go yet. I also managed to paint up a Cawdor gang too, and finish the other gangs to starter level, which means I have starter gangs for Cawdor, Delaque, Enforcers and Ogryns. The Cawdor gang was another contrast paint / speed paint experiment. I think it worked but it taught me that I hate painting brown, I hate painting Cawdor and I still haven't quite mastered either Contrast paints or glazing.... I'm happy enough with them but I might go back later and make some changes. Potato cam pic spam: Majkhel, Alex_Art_Workshop, Sgt. Shovellovin
Excellent! Have you permanently affixed the walls, stairs, etc., to the floor tiles? StraightSilver
Cheers. :) No, I haven't glued anything, it's all modular. It's like a giant Lego set. :) Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/361782-necromunda-diving-into-the-underhive/page/4/#findComment-5817771 Share on other sites
Cyrox
Really nice, those Cawdor look really good indeed, you don't give yourself enough credit :) StraightSilver 1 Back to top Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/361782-necromunda-diving-into-the-underhive/page/4/#findComment-5820179 Share on other sites
StraightSilver
Slight Threadomancy but I wanted to prove I was still alive and, more importantly, still working on my Necromunda stuff. I haven't been posting regular updates as for the last few months as I have essentially been painting the same thing over, and over, again..... I didn't get a chance to take many pics, or set everything up but I have now completed: 52 x columns 57 x wall sections 20 x doors 9 x floor tiles Assorted stairs and floors I think this adds up to about 3 and a half Dark Uprising sets and has taken way longer than expected but it does mean I (hopefully) won't have to paint any more walls.... The lights alone have driven me insane, lol. I have also now completed 4 starter gangs (Cawdor, Delaque, Enforcers and Slave Ogryns) but still need to carry on with scenery for now. It's become apparent that I need a lot more floors and stairs so they will be next.... These are most of the walls.... as I say nothing desperately exciting.... lol. dickyelsdon
That is .... gorgeous! I thought id settled on doing a simple single colour for my terrain but that is strongly pulling me back to painting it properly, i just cant imagine how long painting it that well would take tho!! Stunning, the board setup is going to be mind blowing. Congrats! StraightSilver
OK, so I finally had time to get all of the scenery out and put it on a a table. It's fully modular, like Lego, so the layout isn't fixed, I just wanted to see where I was up to and if I needed to add anything else. I think I now have more than enough Zone Mortalis terrain painted for a 3x3, possibly enough even for a 4x4. I do need to make up some new platforms though as the way I have built the ones I currently have doesn't allow to me to join areas together for multiple levels. But, otherwise, I think I am finished scenery-wise for a bit so can concentrate on gangs for a bit. Firedrake Cordova
That is a lot of Zone Mortalis terrain - love it! StraightSilver
Cheers, I am hoping the last Zone Mortalis I ever have to paint though....... :) It's been a bit of a slog. Can't decide now whether to paint more gangs or have a break from Necromunda and start my Heresy stuff..... Firedrake Cordova
If you're finding it a bit of a slog, then maybe Horus Heresy as that's more of a change?
