I recently painted a DA Successor, The Angels of Absolution, who have a similar coulour,

For November I've chosen to paint an Angel of Absolution, one of the Dark Angel Successor Chapters, I was inspired by the planned narrative I've been working on for the 2020 Challenge. I was on such a roll I got started before posting, and went the whole nine yards and finished him up in just 4.5hrs.

Primer on, ready to go,

My process was;

Prime Corax White

Base Coat Rakarth Flesh

Layer 50/50 Rakarth and Screaming Skull

Shade 50/50 Seraphim Sepia and Lahmian Medium directly into recesses

30/30/30 Rakarth, Screaming, White Scar wet brushed with downward strokes only

Edge highlight with White Scar

I'll see if I can rustle up the picture I took at WHW of the Storm Giant they had on display, as I think the colour's got a hint of green to the bone colour. It'll be good to see these supposed Salamander successors being created on the tabletop. :)
