Holy crap are they fun to play. Small game against necrons and usually he’s advancing with no fear and blasting me off the board. Now I reach out and say hey before he can. The new super doctrine and litany of “didn’t move” and the relic banner made me super deadly.

And to be honest I saw it as an uphill battle winning without any primaris. Turns out not so much.

I think the Deathwing Knights + Ancient are going to have a lot of milage in them and with buffs the champion looks to have utility.

The standard terminator though is still a hard sell for the points, to get the best out of them you need to be in tactical doctrines to get the bonus AP on the storm bolter and if the unit it's shooting at is in cover your not doing enough damage.

A standard bike is a similar cost to a PF storm bolter terminator and you can give them ignores cover + they are easier to give rerolls and a 4++ save too, an Aggressor who is T5 with 3 wounds is cheaper and can double shoot with Chaplain support who is also carrying a power fist.

We've seen a number of initiatives to try and make them more relevant but there still way overcosted compared to alternatives.

I can dig it and knights and warlord standard are going into my 2,000pt list this coming battle I’m just saying, as someone who has played space marines for.... (lemme do math at 12:20am.... 23 years, damn Deathwing are more of a blast than ever. Woo that’s a run on sentence.

I know necrons are technically MEQ but I feel they are easier to kill than many new marine builds so I’m anxious to go up against my buddies world eaters here soon.
