Biohazard
So this will be a log for my Necromunda and possibly Inq28 at some point in the future. So recently my gaming group has gotten into Necromunda, which for me is a dream come true I’ve loved the aesthetic of the game since it came out in 1995 but never had anyone around to play against. So this time around I’ve gone for House Cawdor as they’re deluded worship of the Redemptionist cult and Emperor is something I love. I don’t have a whole lot to show for the gang yet but here’s a look at ‘Salvations Army’ My Leader Heinrich Kramer and one of my Juves Gimpus, Gimpus isn’t allowed any weapons as such. He’s only allowed to use molotovs and fire so has to run towards the enemy as fast as possible to cleanse their souls in the purifying flames of His holy light. http://i113.photobucket.com/albums/n235/Stovie_2006/Necromunda/7E5EA05F-1A1B-4D60-8655-313B8AD3A151.jpg And the rest of the motley crew, I haven’t managed to name them all yet but it will be done before their first game. http://i113.photobucket.com/albums/n235/Stovie_2006/Necromunda/998B5EAB-7542-452C-A4BD-AD593FBFA27C.jpg I also made myself a Bounty Hunter from a few bits as well, I’m not sure if he will run with my Cawdor or not but I’m really happy with the model. No one knows who he really is or where he came from, all they know is, his name is Dogg. (I know not the most original but it was a 1 day build/paint :D) http://i113.photobucket.com/albums/n235/Stovie_2006/Necromunda/7286E760-5E2E-42FA-9CCD-1E9EE24C0D9F.jpg http://i113.photobucket.com/albums/n235/Stovie_2006/Necromunda/0FD4068B-DE12-47F4-9773-50C843939A4F.jpg http://i113.photobucket.com/albums/n235/Stovie_2006/Necromunda/802D798F-D22D-46FC-B091-A32598AB204E.jpg http://i113.photobucket.com/albums/n235/Stovie_2006/Necromunda/05737212-2415-4BE2-91CD-AD7DF117D69B.jpg In the very near future I’m also planning on running an Enforcer gang. I always loved the Arbites and the new Enforcer models are gorgeous so I’ll definitely be picking some up. In the mean time however I made this.... Enforcement Droid Designation - 209 http://i113.photobucket.com/albums/n235/Stovie_2006/Necromunda/F85FC4A5-EFB3-4557-8FAF-A80616EEBDA2.jpg http://i113.photobucket.com/albums/n235/Stovie_2006/Necromunda/91E4F39C-E797-4A80-99EC-0ED5798AF8C6.jpg http://i113.photobucket.com/albums/n235/Stovie_2006/Necromunda/330DBBEA-0A4F-4DF8-9ADD-E9829BC3C544.jpg http://i113.photobucket.com/albums/n235/Stovie_2006/Necromunda/76F5F05B-78DC-41F3-BD47-C36A53379C95.jpg http://i113.photobucket.com/albums/n235/Stovie_2006/Necromunda/A4793AB1-8B8F-4309-A706-447416D3357C.jpg This thing is massive as it’s based on an Armiger but I’m really happy with how it turned out. I’m even thinking of ways of adding on a couple of flashing LEDs just to really push the law enforcement side :) With Necromunda I’ve been loving the ability to just create things again, I made a Combat Servitor for my friends Orlock Gang. He wanted something a little beefier than the official model so I used a Wrathmonger as a base. http://i113.photobucket.com/albums/n235/Stovie_2006/Necromunda/9B7A3963-7BA7-47DC-BF60-21D8D5FA82CF.jpg http://i113.photobucket.com/albums/n235/Stovie_2006/Necromunda/E7B33214-F87C-4421-982C-727FC9D213B0.jpg http://i113.photobucket.com/albums/n235/Stovie_2006/Necromunda/563047E4-CDA1-4F53-882C-58536E83A52E.jpg http://i113.photobucket.com/albums/n235/Stovie_2006/Necromunda/F55A2244-983E-4D0B-8C42-4CA5D95AC57F.jpg http://i113.photobucket.com/albums/n235/Stovie_2006/Necromunda/B65AED48-1742-4D14-A311-C48ACBD1E142.jpg In the spirit of just building things I also made this a couple of nights ago. I’m not entirely sure what it will be as it was mainly made as scatter terrain but I think it could probably fit into the Promethium guild somehow as either a mobile flamer unit or a refuelling tractor of some kind. Either way it still needs a fair bit of cleanup but I’m really happy with how it looks as well. Even if the scratch built treads are a little wonky :D The saw blades on the front were just me messing around. :tu: http://i113.photobucket.com/albums/n235/Stovie_2006/Necromunda/9929260B-0757-440D-BB98-B07D22832E74.jpg http://i113.photobucket.com/albums/n235/Stovie_2006/Necromunda/EFC9E288-03E6-444D-B51B-23B9672D2B47.jpg http://i113.photobucket.com/albums/n235/Stovie_2006/Necromunda/CC6209BD-3169-4E1F-8668-E295D12BF3A7.jpg I also have this lot waiting in the wings for inspiration to strike at some point. http://i113.photobucket.com/albums/n235/Stovie_2006/Necromunda/A98F11A6-9D3D-4E93-A236-3E6A5E0FF392.jpg Painting of the Cawdor gang has begun so update will be very soon. :tu: Edited February 25, 2020 by Biohazard Midnightmare, Isengrin, The Ergonomic Enginseer and 20 others 23 Back to top Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/362164-biohazards-necromunda/ Share on other sites

Midnightmare
Nice mate - it’s all great work and some wicked kitbashes, very atmospheric but gotta love the ED209 build for my favourite! Biohazard
Thanks for the love for EDD-209 I’m still deciding how I’m wanting to paint him. I’m thinking typical black and white but still mulling it over. In the meantime I made a start on some of my Mechanicus terrain, I’m actually loving this stuff so I’m really looking forward to building and painting the 3 other kits I have, especially the tectonic Fragdrill. http://i113.photobucket.com/albums/n235/Stovie_2006/Necromunda/AF7F7AF1-5BAD-4C1A-B66B-C373BEB84D23.jpg http://i113.photobucket.com/albums/n235/Stovie_2006/Necromunda/1B1116B5-93E0-49D9-AB96-5958A671C736.jpg http://i113.photobucket.com/albums/n235/Stovie_2006/Necromunda/D3BEE907-72E2-48EC-AF38-6BE01F3A5DCF.jpg NTaW, Atia, HorrOwl and 7 others 10 Back to top Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/362164-biohazards-necromunda/#findComment-5483462 Share on other sites

KrautScientist
You are one of the absolute best kitbashers and converters out there, buddy, so is it any wonder your Necromunda conversions would be absolutely ace as well? ;) Love the weird little refueling tractor. And that walker not only looks like ED209, as intended, but also bears a huge resemblance to the old Space Crusade Dreadnought, which of course makes the model twice as excellent ;) Come to think of it, maybe adding a touch here and there to make it resemble the Space Crusade model even more closely would be a fantastic way to tie it into the 40k universe even more? Anyway, never a dull moment in one of your threads! Excellent stuff! :) Biohazard 1 Back to top Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/362164-biohazards-necromunda/#findComment-5483823 Share on other sites
Debauchery101
When I used to play this I always loved the redemptionists. It was also cool to do campaigns and leagues. Wed have those "raids" to fight bosses and try to loot stuff and hopefully not get back stabbed by your 'ally gangs'. We even had one scenario where you had to sneak, hack, ambush, steal and get out undetected. If you failed to be stealthy then turrets and Admech bots would spawn Edited March 1, 2020 by Debauchery101 Biohazard 1 Back to top Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/362164-biohazards-necromunda/#findComment-5483968 Share on other sites
Biohazard
Kolgrim Deathhowl, many thanks. Kraut, that’s some high praise indeed, not entirely sure it’s deserved but I thank you sir. :tu: Yeah I actually had the Space Crusade Dread on my desk when I was building Edd-209. I initially had a skull in place of the grille etc to match it with the old dread but I really want to explore a more civilian style of vehicle with some of these builds, I have plans for a couple of flyers as well, one of which is a smaller version of Maxime Pastorels Fearless Beetle, that Armiger kit is fairly flexible ;) Debauchery101, that sounds awesome, and is exactly why I’m loving this game, the scenario ideas keep coming thick and fast and we’ve actually got something similar planned with the stealth mission. The Edd-209 will be used like an end of level boss in one of them with the gangs trying to infiltrate an Enforcer complex. I have plans to build the entrance to the complex at some point I spent a little time last night adding some paint to the gang, they’re still not finished but they’re far enough along to show for now. I’m really happy with the colour scheme and hope to tie it with any future Redemtpionists that may come out http://i113.photobucket.com/albums/n235/Stovie_2006/Necromunda/AD9B8F2E-6AE3-4243-BEF3-EDA9D57B0255.jpg http://i113.photobucket.com/albums/n235/Stovie_2006/Necromunda/73939B54-F4A4-4821-982F-4CC975CD5F9F.jpg Isengrin, ranulf the revenant, Doghouse and 9 others 12 Back to top Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/362164-biohazards-necromunda/#findComment-5484568 Share on other sites

KrautScientist
Kraut, that’s some high praise indeed, not entirely sure it’s deserved but I thank you sir. Oh, don't worry, that praise is actually well-earned: There's a courage to your conversions, especially to your vehicle projects, that I cannot help feeling jealous of ;) Love the yellow Cawdor models -- I think they need some scripture and devotional inconography, though! Biohazard
Kraut, Again thank you. I have another walker in the works that will hopefully have a bit of a Power Loader vibe albeit with a very 40k feel. I have the rest of the Dreadknight kit to butcher for it. :tu: and the Cawdor will definitely have some devotional scrolls and script on them. :tu: So working in a hospital with everything that’s going on at the moment has been pretty full on lately and is just going to get worse in the near future. I haven’t had a lot of time to paint lately so the gangers are still as they were. I did crack out some more terrain though. I finally have a little time tonight so my group are planning a practice game to familiarise ourselves with the rules, I’ll try and get some decent pics of the table as it looks so far. http://i113.photobucket.com/albums/n235/Stovie_2006/Necromunda/91B0F85A-BE52-4861-95A5-796A7933ED0B.jpg http://i113.photobucket.com/albums/n235/Stovie_2006/Necromunda/E4F77FAC-0836-4EC7-920B-C944BD8E9583.jpg Hopefully a new routine can be found soon and I can get back to these projects properly Majkhel, Hiroitchi, Grotsmasha and 5 others 8 Back to top Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/362164-biohazards-necromunda/#findComment-5492287 Share on other sites

Lord Uglor
I'm not sure if it is the idea you're going for, or just what I'm interpreting, but I like the surface you've got your scenery on. Gives it a feeling as though the entirety of the level is covered in water and the platforms are rising out of it. The scenery itself is very nice, especially your use of yellow which makes it pop that much more. Stay safe, Biohazard! Biohazard
Majkhel, thanks buddy. Lord Uglor, thanks I really like the description you’ve given of the terrain, it was completely accidental though haha. That board is the one I use when priming all my models so that’s why it’s a bit patchy but if i was to ever make a permanent base for this terrain I’ll keep that idea in mind. :tu: Nothing to really update with yet but here’s a few pics of the table set up at our last 5 way game. It was a brutal match up. 2 Goliath gangs, an Orlock, and Enforcer and my Cawdor. I unfortunately didn’t get any pics of the gangs on the board really but I’ll be sure to get some action shots next game. :tu: http://i113.photobucket.com/albums/n235/Stovie_2006/Necromunda/3342A806-109B-466B-B821-3A8AEE904D9C.jpg http://i113.photobucket.com/albums/n235/Stovie_2006/Necromunda/0B2731BC-5E36-4DD4-B0D5-3C1E32D16D83.jpg http://i113.photobucket.com/albums/n235/Stovie_2006/Necromunda/E5783352-C2FE-44C7-87CD-63EC42126587.jpg http://i113.photobucket.com/albums/n235/Stovie_2006/Necromunda/EAEDCFD7-1197-44BA-B440-B714EF0BB2EB.jpg http://i113.photobucket.com/albums/n235/Stovie_2006/Necromunda/D418D5B2-22D3-4194-AA42-C941FE5C263C.jpg Viridia, Ryltar Thamior and Midnightmare 3 Back to top Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/362164-biohazards-necromunda/#findComment-5494691 Share on other sites
Midnightmare
Your terrain is looking great mate! Necromunda is all about the terrain, get that looking as you do and you will have some brilliant, immersive games. Your Cawdor’s are excellent btw, I love their colour scheme B) The guy with the skull mask and mahoosive Chainsword just screams grimdark! Ryltar Thamior
salute to your work - both on the table and IRL; terrain looks great, the painted and the WIP; I hadn't realized just how big that drill was! also, the initial rounds of conversions you did have some *seriously* excellent and imaginative ethos to them.
