This has cheered me up no end today.

Even with over 30 years painting experience I still learned a lot from Duncan's videos, more so than from other WHTV painters (no offence to Peachy and co).

So I am glad he's coming back.

I'm gutted that Darren's no longer going to keep his channel open, his videos were amazing.

No longer being tied down to GW products will surely let his talents breath*. Being able to demonstrate how to paint things outside the confines of the citadel paint and miniatures ranges will only expand everyone’s capabilities.

Good for him and good for us.

*I mean this in a neutral way, not a knock on GW. When anyone works for a company they have to rep the company’s products at al times (it’s what pays your paycheck, afterall).

Looking forward to seeing how this develops. He'll have a lot more creative freedom, should be interesting to see where he goes with it and what/if any non GW/Citadel products he will use. Edited by Captain Smashy Pants

It's great to see Duncan returning for more so soon, I always found his videos really good but as a reminder the number of subscriptions he has is not news worthy enough for running updates

Perhaps not, but the meteoric rise of his subscription count shows the amount of goodwill he has earned with his stint at Warhammer TV is quite substantial. I just hope he doesn't blot out other channels when he gets into the swing of things.

I think it is interesting that the about section of the channel page uses the word "us" to describe the channel. I'm keen to know who else is helping him build the channel.
