Maschinenpriester
Hello followers of the ecclesiarchy, today I have managed to take some photos of a few minis I have recently finished. I have mainly focussed on bulking up on flamers, thus bringing my total count of heavy flamers to 4, and normal flamers to 3. Number 4 will be added once I get the combat patrol box at some point. I also added a new superior with one magnetized weapon arm. And here a Photo of all new entries together: Currently on my desk are 10 novitiates (Kill team) which are almost fully base coated. My speed has significantly reduced. But I am slowly catching up again. Maschinenpriester
Thanks for the nice words everyone! I have finished my Novitates Kill team around new year. I finally got around to take some photots. They sure are fun to play. I took them for a ride 2 times allready. It seems like I get to play more Kill Team recently anyways. Here you can see the leader and the Condemnor Both have been quite the MVPs in the games i had so far. Here is the powerhouse of glorious melee of the kill team Some support units And last but not least the dual flamer ladies I have ordered the two missing operatives as singles from a bits store in order to complete my collection here. Currently there are no more big projects in my pipeline regarding sororitas. Next I plan to get a combat patrol box in order to bulk up on sisters some more for cheap. That rhino probably will not hurt either. But before I go forward with this I have some non sisters projects in the pipeline: Imperial Navy Breachers Gallowdark terrain Heretic Astartes Kill Team (Grim Dark Agents of Bile) Edited January 22, 2023 by Maschinenpriester Bouargh, Prot, ranulf the revenant and 8 others 9 2 Back to top Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/362334-maschinenpriesters-inquisitorial-acolytes-kill-team-sob-tread/page/3/#findComment-5902216 Share on other sites
MithrilForge
Awesome work 2x They look really good (as per usual with your stuff) I have not looked in a while so congrats on being a father (enjoy that rollercoaster of a ride ) I love the metallics on the Novitates, especially the lower legs !! Also the terrain pieces (statues) I love the gold and white on them, consider that idea stolen er borrowed Cheers, M. Maschinenpriester
First of all thank you Mumeishi for the kind words Anyways here is some new stuff! I have gotten my hands on the Into the Dark box around christmas and got around painting the navy breachers with some extra bodies to make them work in 40k and Kill team respectively. First of all a group shot with terrain as usual (the into the dark terrain is still on my to do list)! Here is a closeup of the Leader, the Axejack and the Hatchutter. Next up the Surveyor and the Servoskull guy with their pets. Here one of my favourite models of the batch, the endurant. And also the plasma gunner I have also built a melta gunner from an additional body, besides of the grenade dude. The belts with the grenades and the black leather of the additinal armour where especially fun to paint. The gunner with the heavy lascannon, and another pic with the shield guy, just because he is my favourite model! Last but not least some regular navy breachers with regular shotguns in order to make my roster more flexible and make the squad work for 40k. In gerneral the kill team was amazingly fun to paint. It was quite the pallet cleanser for me and I tired to lean a bit more into a grimy dirty look. I like how they turned out. I have ordered the combat patrol and a box of sarestants but no idea when they are going to arrive with the current delivery issues. In addition I have the Into the Dark terrain on my to do list... I also was able to fetch a copy of Ashes of faith. So my sororitas will be accompanied by a band of acolytes soon! Firedrake Cordova
Really nice work - the muted pallete works well, and the bases are great What kit are the helmets from? Maschinenpriester
25 minutes ago, Firedrake Cordova said: What kit are the helmets from? Thank you Firedrake! The helets are 3D Prints. I got them from myminifactory. https://www.myminifactory.com/object/3d-print-sallet-pack-219582 I was not a big fan of the Zylon style helmets and did not feel like helmetless guys fighting in abandonded space ships which could potentially be depressirized. One downside of the helmets is the lack of a "neck". In orde to make them compatible, I had to model the necks with greenstuff. But they are not visible, so my questionable modeling skills are no issue. Edit: Another note, the helmets are slightly too big. The have to be scaled down by approximately 75%. Firedrake Cordova
Ah, that explains why I couldn't pinpoint the kit they'd come from then! I thought they looked a bit like the Skitarii Vanguard helms, but not quite ... Maschinenpriester
Hi guys, I have been quite unproductive recently hobbywhise, but yet I have at least managed to finish the 7 operatives of the Iniquisitorial Agents Kill Team. First up a group shot: The leader (Interrogator) with his book holder buddy of the Kill Team: Mystic and Autosavant: Pistoleer and Death World Veteran Last is the Servitor: As usual the painting process was a blast. I enjoyed the variety that the different operatives offer in terms of painting. Looking forward to taking them to a test ride. Next up are some actual Sisters. I intend to kitbash shome characters from a novitates upgrade sprue that I got. Firedrake Cordova
Nice work. They are characterful and evocative models, aren't they? (they remind me of the models for the 54mm "Inquisitor" game GW made way back when) Also, I really like the terrain in the images, too Edited October 24, 2023 by Firedrake Cordova Maschinenpriester and Magos Takatus 2 Back to top Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/362334-maschinenpriesters-inquisitorial-acolytes-kill-team-sob-tread/page/3/#findComment-5997255 Share on other sites
Maschinenpriester
Thanks for the kind words Firedrake. Yes indeed esoecially the death world veteran I think is a blast from the past. The board is a Display board I created in 2021 for my display case. I tried to experiment with some blanchitsu style terrain building and painting. I made two of them. But with two adaptor pieces i added they double up as a semi modular kill team sized board!
