Like most of what I do is very simple techniques: drybrushing, shade and a layer, etc, but executed very well - with getting a very good base color down first doing a lot of the work. I push myself here and there, but it’s really all about knowing what my limits are and how to maximize what I can do within them. It’s always amusing when we’re playing at the FLGS and people come by and gush on about my armies (cause I paint my partner’s as well) and they say things like “Wow you should do this professionally/be in competitions these are amazing!” I very much appreciate the compliments, but it’s like being hot shizz for my local softball league and people going “Wow you should play for the Yankees!” What exactly is a Catachan ??!
