Worth it though ;) One thing I've long been curious about is how it fares on the base? It seems rather large for it, will it be ok for gaming as well?

Yeah, it’s very much at the slow and steady, the first coat looks like drek phase. Corax White is a great paint, and even just a second coat will be a huge step up from here.

 

The base is 160mm I think, at least, and will be just fine. The only thing I might do is drill a relief hole near the flight stand (which is a plug of clear resin over an inch thick) - the base is large enough and the tank heavy enough that when placed on a smooth hard surface like a varnished desk or a counter top, it actually suctions on to it!

Transfers down. Considering maybe a few more, but don’t want to clutter it up to much. For such a huge model it doesn’t have many large flat surfaces.

Man I'm jealous. I really want one of those but haven't pulled the trigger. Was thinking of treating myself this year with my bonus but. . . gotta finish my wife's seraphon and my own Kharadron first.

 

Gotta prioritize the stuff I know I'll actually get to play with, first :P

Lovely work, well done on completing such a large model! The white and weathering offsets the black neatly I'm sure it'll dominate the table top in looks as well as fire power :P
