Saturnine armour ideas - help needed with shoulders

Hi folks.

 

I’d like to try a saturnine / exo armour conversion. I’ve seen a couple of good ones (world eaters) and despite searching can’t find tutorials or project logs for them. I’m confident I can build most of the rest of the armour from my bits box but the shoulders are the limiting factor. Apart from cad and 3D printing anyone have any ideas? Thanks.

IIRC KrautScientist used Heldrake leg plates for his.

Ah I see - for a chaos style conversion right? I was looking to do loyalist ideally. The armiger warglaive pads seem about the right shape but I suspect will be far too large even for a chap as disproportionate as the saturnine.

The only overtly 'Chaos' detailing on the bit he used is a single arrow, which wouldn't be all that tricky to remove.

You know, I just tried the armiger Helverin pads and, while slightly too big and not perfect, they might just work. Dry fit on an indomnitus model:
